Shelby (Buck) Rodney Steff, age 79, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Monday, (June 4, 2018) at his home.

He was born on December 23, 1938 in Grayson Co., KY, the son of the late Survain Mollyhorn Evans.

He was retired from P Lorillard Tobacco Company after 35 years, who enjoyed rabbit hunting, woodworking and riding his four wheeler.

He was saved on November 17 ^th 1972 in a revival at Shrewsbury Missionary Baptist Church. Revs. Carman Cann and Vern Wilson were holding the revival and he was baptized by Rev. Charles Deweese on May 20, 1973 at Pine Knob; He was a member in good standing at Beech Grove United Baptist Church for 43 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jerry Burkhart Steff, one son, Terry Rodney Steff (Brenda) of Bowling Green, KY, two daughters, Kimberly Steff Embry of Beaver Dam, KY and Evelyn Steff Dockery (Calvin) of Morgantown, KY, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and a step-brother, Arlis Evans (Juanita) of Shepherdsville KY.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (June 8, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Gary Woosley will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
