Sherman Ray Carter, age 63, of Hudson, KY, passed away Friday, (March 28, 2008) in Louisville, KY.

He was born on August 5, 1944, in Falls of Rough, KY, the son of Luther Herbert and Mayme Catherine Fentress Carter, who preceded him in death. He was formerly a communication specialist with Western Union and was formerly employed by Oneal Steel and was a member of the Hudson Community Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Dennis Carter; his daughters Dana Slucher (David) and Sheri Faughender (Jeff); and their mother,Laura Carter all of Louisville, KY; his step-son David Dennis (Pam) of Anetta, KY; two sisters, Mary Lou Felker of Ekron, KY and Betty White of Louisville; three brothers, Mike of Louisville, Ronald of Falls of Rough, KY and Erman Carter of Louisville; his grandchildren, Katie, Jessica, Scotty, Sarah, Joey, Jeffrey and Keanu. He was preceded in death by two sisters Loretta Swift and Joann Carter.

Please join the family and friends in a celebration of Sherman's life to be at the Hudson Community Church in Hudson beginning at 12 noon CST Monday with services following at the church on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. CST. Bro. Jimmy Tucker and Bro. Ronnie Keesee will be officiating. Burial will be in the Hudson Cemetery.
