Obituary
Sheryl Skaggs, age 55, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Monday, (June 29, 2015) at the Norton's Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was born on May 21, 1960 in Clarkson, KY, the daughter of the late Van and Elizabeth Ellen Kerr Haycraft.
She was a housewife, who enjoyed reading, taking care of animals, working with her plants and flowers and decorating; She was a member of the Humane Society and the Sulphur Wells Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Verel Skaggs, her son, Cameron Skaggs (Renae) of Shepherdsville, KY, her grandchildren, Keilei and Lodin Skaggs, three brothers, Walter Lee Haycraft and Phillip Ray (Phyllis) Haycraft both of Leitchfield, and Larry Martin Haycraft (Carolyn) of Clarkson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (July 3, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
Expressions of sympathy can take to form of donations to the local Animal Shelter or the Humane Society.
