Obituary
Shirley Joyce Heil, age 82, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (January 13, 2018) at the Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab in Elizabethtown, KY.
She was born on July 26, 1935 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Daniel and Ollie Wehunt Ware.
She was a housewife, who enjoyed visiting with her neighbors, sewing, playing the piano. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church, which she loved and a Past Matron of Southern Star #154 OES Louisville, KY.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Daniel Heil (Donna) of Elizabethtown and Timothy Paul Heil of Leitchfield; one daughter, Karen Lynn New (Alan) of Rineyville, KY; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George "Bob" Heil; a sister, Marguerite Hohmann; and two brothers, Harold and Merle Paul Ware.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (January 20, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
