Shirley Woodcock, age 81, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Saturday (January 13, 2007) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. .
He was a retired Civil Service worker at Fort Knox, a veteran of U.S. Navy and World War 11, his hobbies were hunting, trap shooting and talking on his C.B. radio, where he was known as "Red Fox". He was born on September 11,1925, in Butler Co., KY, the son of Luke and Caldonia ( Brooks ) Woodcock. .
He is survived by, five sisters, Normagene Franzell and Virginia Embry of Caneyville, Novella Brown and Lubina Chamberlain of PeeWee Valley, Betty Kloubec of Elizabethtown, and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Corene Woodcock, and four brothers, Daymond, Gordon, Shelby,and Wendell Woodcock.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M Monday (January 15, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Rev. Dewey Baker will be officiating. Burial is in the Rabbit Flat Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 5 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday and after 9:00 A.M Monday.
