Stanley Chancellor Dennison, 94, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (Sept. 30, 2007) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
He was born on Aug. 31, 1913, in Grayson County KY, the son of Josh and Lydia Chancellor Dennison. He was a farmer and a member of Hanging Rock Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for more than 70 years and also the caretaker of the Hanging Rock Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Carter Dennison of Leitchfield, KY, his daughters, Jo Ann Probus (Ray) of Louisville, KY, Dorothy Armstrong (Clinton) and Donna Wooden (David) of Leitchfield, his sons, J.W. Dennison (Patty) and Steve Dennison (Kathy) of Leitchfield, his brother, Percy of Louisville and a Daughter-In-Law, Anne Dennison of Leitchfield. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sons, Jackie and Randall, and two grandchildren, Diana Wooden-Witty and Dave Wooden.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday (Oct.4, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Billy Carter and Bro. Musial Pearson officiating. Burial will be in the Hanging Rock Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
