Starlynn "Star" K. Hodge, age 70, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (June 24, 2023) at Grayson Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on December 28, 1952 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Hershell and Shirley Jewell Stinnett.

She was a Home Health aide and a substitute teacher who enjoyed reading, coloring, working puzzles, researching her family history and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leitchfield.

She is survived by her daughters, Shannon Harp (Albert Sims) & Paula Smallwood (Seth), both of Leitchfield; a son, Cortlen Trenton Hodge, also of Leitchfield; three grandchildren, Brittnie Harp (Kyle Pleasant), GarRhett Stinnett & Jeremiah Smallwood; a brother, Terry Stinnett (Regina) of Millwood, KY; three  sisters, Sandy White (Darrell), Patricia Montgomery, & Karen Hardin, all of Leitchfield; and her ex-husband Cortlen Hodge of Leitchfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Beers; two brothers-in-law, Kevin Montgomery & Robert Beers; her maternal grandparents, Bennie & Ruby Hultz Jewell; and her paternal grandparents, Robert & Zonia Kennison Stinnett.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (June 30, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Doug King will be officiating. Burial will be in the Lile Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
