Obituary

Stella Mae Baize Blessitt, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (September 26, 2019) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

She was born on December 8, 1937 in Gilbert, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Gilmore and Dovie Neace.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, fishing, and spending time her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a member of the Sunny Point General Baptist Church.

A loved and devoted mother and grandmother, Stella is survived by a son, Claudis Ray Baize;two daughters, Wilma Lovell (Rodney) of Elizabethtown; Anna Davis (Harold) of Leitchfield; eight grandchildren, Crystal Gaither (Freddie), Jennifer Butler, Brandon Butler, David, Jessica and Caleb Logsdon, Josh & Felicia Davis; seven great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Butler, Kyleigh and Kinslie Jerding, Sam and Lilly Gaither, Karsyn Butler and Feonia Davis; two brothers and several sisters, nieces, nephews and lots of friends also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claudis Bunk Baize, her daughter, Janice Logsdon, and her grandson, Ethan Cole Oller.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, (October 1, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Sunny Point Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to help the family with final expenses.
