Stella Jo Dallas, age 77, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (February 28, 2014) at her home.

She was born on January 4, 1937 in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of the late Jesse and Katie Mae Lewis Lowe.

Stella Jo was a very giving and loving person, who loved to give kisses and hugs, and she loved to shop. She was a nurse's aide at Lawler Elementary School, a former cook at the High School and also worked at the Leitchfield Cleaners; she was a member of the Leitchfield Eastern Star, the Leitchfield WMU and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bertie (Sonny) Dallas Sr., one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Cindy Dallas of Leitchfield, one daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Timmy Geary of Leitchfield, three grandchildren, Katelyn and Austin Dallas and Samantha Lanigan, two great grandsons, Bradley Harrell and Beckham Lanigan.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bertie Lee Dallas Jr.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, (March 3, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Rev. Jerry Netherland and Rev. Brian Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
