Stephen Edward Pawley, age 76, of Pewee Valley, KY, passed away Thursday, (October 26, 2023) at the VA Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on July 26, 1947 in Big Clifty, KY, the son of Mary Langley Richardson and the late Elmer "Ebb" Pawley.

A 2-term Veteran of the US Navy, and former touring drummer for Waylon Jennings and the Ratliff Brothers, Stephen worked as a car salesman and was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his three sons, Brian Laurence Pawley, Jason Edward Pawley & Michael Edward Pawley; three grandchildren; a sister Julia Lynn Butler, and his mother, Mary Richardson. Two nephews, Brian Butler (Anna), & Kevin Butler; one niece, Laura Berryman (Tristan); a great nephew, Kaden Basham; an aunt Judy Hart Pawley; and several cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer "Ebb" Pawley.

A Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (November 6, 2023) at the Leitchfield Memory Gardens across from the radio station. Kevin Butler will be officiating.
