Obituary
Stephen Earl Shields, age 66, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (November 15, 2016) at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
He was born on August 27, 1950, in Sunfish, KY, the son of the late Mancel E. and Virginia D. Cummings Shields.
He was a truck driver and diesel mechanic, who enjoyed his work, and worked hard. He loved his dogs.
He is survived by his daughter, Toye Nicole Hall (Paul Proctor) of Florida; two grandchildren, Tyler and Travis Roberson; four sisters, Joy Smith of McHenry, KY, Janice Cook (Robert) of Morgantown, KY, Louise Voyles (Orville) of Morgantown, KY, and Helen Embry (Darrell Glenn) of Roundhill, KY; two brothers, Phillip Shields (Shelly) of Hartford, KY, and Rick Shields (Carolyn Stewart) of Horse Branch, KY; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his companion, Mary Evelyn Smith.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. (noon) CST Saturday, (November 19, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Darrell Glenn will be officiating. Burial will be in the Kefauver Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
