Steven Dale Fentress, age 59, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, (December 12, 2017) at his residence.
He was born on October 07, 1958 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Vernell and Sallie Hardin Fentress.
In addition to trading and collecting knives, guns, coins and Indian artifacts, he enjoyed watching Westerns and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Glenda Day Fentress; his son, Ethan Dale Fentress of Leitchfield; his daughters, Stephanie (John) McGinnis of Big Clifty, Ashley (Martin) Nolan of Dawson Springs, Felicia Johnson of Glendale; seven grandchildren, Aidra, Keigan, Peyton, Madison, Starlet, River and Griffen; one sister, Vernessa Drake; and four brothers, Roger (Hillis), Gary (Chrissy), Lannie (Penny) and Stacy Fentress. Several nieces, nephews and his beloved daschund, Darcy, also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert, and two sisters, Louise and Donna.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (December 16, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. John McGinnis will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
