Steven Mercer, age 56, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (August 18, 2008) at his home in Leitchfield.

He was born on March 8, 1952, in Louisville, KY, the son of Elmer and Dorothy Douthitt Mercer. He worked with heat and air companies and was a member of the Faith Apostolic Church in Louisville.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris Mercer of Leitchfield, three daughters, Lisa McCombs (Sammie), Angela Mercer (Dave) and Billie Jo Horn (Chris) all of Leitchfield, his mother, Dorothy Mercer of Leitchfield, two brothers, Gary and Keith Mercer both of Leitchfield, his grandchildren, Savanna, Brittany, Hope, Steven, Samantha, Tiffany and Caleb. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer, one brother, Barry Mercer and one grandson, Tyler Horn.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (August 21, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Duff Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
