Susan Williams "Suzie" Purnell, age 78 , of Amelia Island, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025. She was affectionately known as Mimi, Mom, Mommy, Bab, Babby, Granny Loo, and "your sweet mama."

Suzie's constant companion for 64 years was her beloved husband, Harry, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. Their love story began as childhood sweethearts when they first met at age 14. Together, they raised three daughters, Christa Gallagher (Peter), Sue Anne Bell (Jason), and Sarah Lynch (Patrick). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Ashling and Owen Gallagher; Madison, Megan, and Meredith Bell; and Piper, Margot, and Molly Lynch. She is also survived by her brother, Mark Williams (Sue), along with many extended family members and cherished lifelong friends.

Suzie devoted her life to her family, friends, and community. For many years, she worked as an Activities Coordinator in a dementia care unit, where she shared compassion, humor, and joy with residents and their families. Her faith in God was evident to all who knew her, and she will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, unwavering positivity, and her ability to make everyone she encountered feel deeply loved.
