Dr. Ted J. Minton, age 75, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (July 24, 2011) at his residence.

He was born on August 19, 1935, in Edmonson Co, KY the son of Henry and Ethel Highbaugh Minton. He was a retired Psychologist with a PHD, a member of the American Psychological Association, the Kentucky Psychological Association and the Western Kentucky University Alumni and a member of the Leitchfield Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Rena Decker Minton, two sons, Kevin (Remona) of Leitchfield and Keith (Michelle) of Winchester, KY, one daughter, Tracy Wilson of Leitchfield, two sisters, Homa Decker of Leitchfield and Faye Metcalf of Horse Cave, KY, five grandchildren, Jennifer Basham (Kevin), Brandon Minton, April Wilson Krpata, Keitha Griffith, and Aaron Wilson (Heather), three great grandchildren, Bobby and Charlie Griffith and Jaiden Basham.

A Celebration of life will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday (July 27, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Randall Baugus will be officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
