Thomas C. Hodge "Tom", age 77, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (June 4, 2025) at his home.

He was born on April 4, 1948 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late John Campbell and Minna Jean Jenkins Hodge.

He was a retired police officer with over 27 years of law enforcement and military service, ending with the Louisville Police Department. He also was a builder/remodeler in the construction industry. He loved to play golf and enjoyed lake life.  He was a giver, whose motto was "Do a good deed everyday". He loved to talk to people and never met a stranger. His sense of humor was well known, and he seemed to always make people at ease and laugh. He adored his children and grandchildren. He married his loving wife, Yvonne Kanzler Hodge on September 28, 2002. Together their laughter and love of life was contagious. Tom was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Hodge; children, Scott (Christina), Julia (Brian), Melinda, Melissa, Candace (Troy), Christopher (Amy), and Kelly; eighteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, John, Jim, and Brian; two sisters, Carrell and Jean; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, (June 10, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Pastor Monty Gleitz will be officiating. Burial will be in the Duff Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of services.
