Obituary
Thomas Fay "Tommy" Cox, age 53, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Thursday, (February 23, 2012) at the Norton's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was born on November 12, 1958, in Clarkson, Kentucky, the son of Richmond Fay Pearson Cox and Stella Marie Mangin Cox.
He was a deputy jailer at the Grayson County Detention Center and a security guard for Churchill Downs, and was a member of the Clarkson Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Stella Marie Cox of Clarkson; two brothers, Al Cox (Jackie) of Leitchfield, and Danny Cox (Carol) of Flaherty; one sister, Hazel Marie Cox of Clarkson; and one niece, Stephanie Cox Carnes.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richmond Fay Pearson Cox.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (February 25, 2012) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service.
