Obituary
Thomas W Forbes, age 61, of Cecilia, KY, passed away Saturday, (April 18, 2015) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was born on January 17, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of the Willis and Grace Basham Forbes.
He was a superintendent for Alliance Corp, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, making knives, gardening and he loved his children and grandchildren, a United States Marine Veteran and was a member of the God's Little Workshop Church in Yeaman KY.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Smith Forbes, one daughter, Stacey Miller (Travis) of Cecilia KY, two sons, Gregory of Larue County, KY, and Jeremy Forbes of Caneyville, KY, his mother, Grace "Luzon" Forbes of Edmonson County KY, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, four brothers, Tony Forbes (Jean) and Terry Forbes (Connie) both of Park City KY, Ted Forbes of Brownsville, KY and Timmy Forbes (Anthony) of Glasgow KY, four sisters, Janice Alford of Park City, Dena Raymer (Bobby) and Belinda Roof (Michael) both of Brownsville and Carmella Clemons (Bobby) of Clarkson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willis Forbes.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, (April 21, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
