Thomas Ray "Tommy" Shelton , age 54, of Leitchfield KY, passed away Friday, (February 4, 2022) at his home.

He was born on March 23, 1967 in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Dan Ray Shelton and Carol Spurlock Decker.

He was a security guard and former welder who enjoyed playing video games, Dungeons & Dragons, shooting guns and traveling. A survivalist, he also enjoyed reading and engaging in medieval role play, battle and reenactments. Tommy was a proud member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).

He is survived by his children, Raven Cannon (Kyler), Carolynn Shelton (Daniel Bratcher), Bobbie Shelton (Desmond Goldsberry), Samantha Shelton, Amanda Shelton, Nova Shelton, Thomas Shelton & Barbara Shelton; two brothers, Michael Shelton (Donna) & Danny Shelton (Stacie), and his step-father, Harold Decker. The mothers of his children, Missy Decker and Peggy Shelton, & several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (February 11, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
