Tim Saltsman Jr., age 88, of Blowtown, KY, passed away Friday, (October 06, 2023) at Springview Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on December 19, 1934 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Tim and Lillie Newton Saltsman.

He was a farmer and construction worker who enjoyed riding his Gator, fox hunting, riding horses and spending time with his dogs. He attended Blowtown Church.

He is survived by his children; Glendell Saltsman, Bennie Saltsman (Thelma), Jimmy Saltsman, Danny Saltsman (Debbie), Sharon Higdon (Jeff) and Timmy Saltsman (Verita) all of Blowtown; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Haycraft. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of almost 67 years, Imogene Mercer Saltsman; a brother, Carlos Saltsman; and four sisters, Irean Saltsman, Agnes Carroll, Edna Saltsman & Elsie Haycraft.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, (October 11, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Joey Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Blowtown Newton Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
