Timothy Ray Lawson, age 62 , of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (March 24, 2022) at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on October 3, 1959 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Bobby and La Wanda Wilson Lawson.

He was a carpenter who enjoyed listening to music, playing guitar, watching NASCAR and UK Basketball. He was a member of the Baptist Faith

He is survived by his brother, Terry Lawson of Leitchfield; a sister, Lisa Skaggs (Greg) of Clarkson; three nieces, Amy, Pattie and Jennie; a nephew, Justin (Bri); two aunts, Tonya Aubrey of Leitchfield and Karen Rice (Mike); two special friends, Nora Smart (with whom he enjoyed studying the bible) and Jennifer Choate, both of Leitchfield; a special aunt, Jo Ann Froman and two uncles, Joe Froman and Richard Kersey. Several close cousins, friends, and his beloved dog Billy, also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister in law, Theresa Lawson; his maternal grandparents, Dalton and Irene Kersey, and his paternal grandparents Harvey & Emma "Sis" Lawson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, (March 30, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Tommy Pendergest will be officiating. Burial will be in the Stephensburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
