Tommie Burden, age 92, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (January 30, 2009) at the Grayson Manor in Leitchfield.

He was born on January 3, 1917, in Falls of Rough KY, the son of the late Jobe and Nona Elder Burden. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Green Burden of Leitchfield, two sons, Charles of Louisville, KY and Thomas Edgar Burden Jr of Leitchfield, one daughter, Brenda Johnson of Louisville, two grandchildren, Michael Burden and Chris Basham both of Leitchfield, two brothers, Eskell of Clarkson, KY and Kenneth Burden of Leitchfield, three sisters, Anna Lee and Pauline Hazelwood both of Leitchfield and Geneva Brown of Falls of Rough.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (February 3, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Edward Dermitt will be officiating. Burial will be in the Deweese Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
