Travis Gordon Farris, age 49, of Caneyville, KY, went to be with his father on Monday, (May 17, 2021) at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on February 19, 1972 in Grayson County, KY, the son of Linda Norton Farris and the late Raymond Farris.

A loyal "Ford man", Travis was a welder for Magna for 16 years and enjoyed truck pulling, fishing, riding tractors and 4 wheelers, attending swap meets and spending time with his granddaughter. He was a member of the Grayson County Truck Puller's Association and attended the Clarkson Community Church.

He is survived by his son, Jacob Farris of Caneyville; a daughter, Jessica Farris (Jacob Meredith) of Leitchfield; a granddaughter, Maci Rae Meredith; a sister, Theresa Cook (Jeff) of Leitchfield; his mother, Linda Farris of Caneyville; and a special friend and caregiver, Paula Sanders of Leitchfield. A nephew, Brandon Ray Cook (Wendy) of Leitchfield; a great niece, Kamryn Cook; a great nephew Brayden Cook; and his beloved basset hound, Tater, also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Farris.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, (May 21, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Curtis Decker and Bro. Mickey Coates will be officiating. Burial will be in the Shrewsbury Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
