Obituary

Troy Steven Woosley, age 54, passed away Tuesday, (September 1 , 2026) at his home in Caneyville, KY.

He was born on March 29,1972, the fourth of five children to the late Paul and Frances Edwards Woosley.

Troy loved hunting and fishing from an early age. That never changed. Anyone who knew him knew he would rather be in the woods or on the lake than just about anywhere else.

About the age of 10, Troy heard the gospel at a revival at Pleasant Union United Baptist Church in Grayson County. He bowed at the altar, and through humble repentance, the Lord saved his soul. He was baptized into the church at the close of the revival. He later became a charter member of Wilson United Baptist Church, where he remained a member until his death.

Troy worked for many years in the painting and coatings industry. He worked alongside his dad and oldest brother for several years before he became a field superintendent and led his own crew. He was an avid football fan and believed the Cincinnati Bengals were the best. No one could ever convince him otherwise, although he loved when they would.

Troy leaves behind his wife Kimberly Woosley; brother and sister-in-law, Paul Wayne and Lisa Woosley of Caneyville; his brother, Robert Woosley of Bowling Green; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Ernie Smith of Mammoth Cave; and sister, Tonya Tucker of Caneyville. He also leaves behind five nieces and nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (September 7, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jerry Weedman will be officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery on Higgs Rd.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Monday until time of services.
