Obituary

Ulva Mae McStoots, age 91, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (August 8, 2012) at Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield, Kentucky.

She was born on October 31, 1920, in Grayson Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ezra and Sarah Jane Cook Whitaker.

She was a housewife and homemaker who loved gardening and playing checkers and she was a member of the Sadler General Baptist Church.

She is survived by six daughters, Willadean Sandlin (Ernest), Irene Ray, Carolyn Croghan, Dorothy Stevenson (Teddy) and Doris Houchin (Mike) all of Leitchfield and Ora Clements (Phillip) of Caneyville, four sons, Clarence "Bud" McStoots (Saundra) of Louisville, KY, Mack, Ronnie (Doris) and Clifford McStoots (Mary) all of Leitchfield, 29 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 25 great-great grandchildren and some adopted friends, Carolyn Delong, "Slim" and Gaylord Manning, "Little Ronnie" Nichols, Linda Reed and Jerlene Wilson.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clint McStoots, a son, Jimmy McStoots, four brothers, Lonnie, Elbert, Herman and Round Whitaker and one sister, Elsie Rea Lashley.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (August 11, 2012) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Edward Cockriel and Bro. Ernest Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00am to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and after 9:00am Saturday until time of service.
