Velma Ernestine "Ernie" Jacobs, age 67, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Friday, (February 24, 2023) at home in Clarkson, KY.

She was born on April 5, 1955 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Paul Ruben Sr. and Velma Elizabeth Vibbart Lawson.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crocheting and was a member of the McGrew General Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Stephen Bullock (Crystal) of Louisville and Stewart Ray Bullock (Shelia) of Clarkson; a daughter, Pauline Wheeler (John) of Louisville; a step-daughter, Noma Jacobs;   eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Marilyn Miller of Clarkson and Linda Hides of Louisville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Jacobs; two brothers, Paul Jr. and Joe Lawson, a sister, Judy Douglas, and one brother-in-law, Harold Miller Sr.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (March 4, 2023) at the Free Liberty Community Church (72 Victory Heights Rd. Leitchfield, KY 42754.) Bro. Dennis Knight will be officiating. Burial will be in the McGrew Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Free Liberty Community Church from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of services.
