Violet Small, age 85, of Bardstown, KY, formerly of Caneyville passed away Friday November 21, 2008 in Bardstown.
She was born on April 01, 1923 in Neafus , KY, the daughter of Ernest & Truly Duke Embry.

She is survived by 1 son Steve(Debbie) Small of Caneyville, 1 daughter Freda(Edward) Deacon of Shepherdsville, 1 brother Ralph Embry of Louisville, 2 sisters Ruby Shain of Shepherdsville & Ruth Wilson of LaGrange, Ky., 4 grandchildren Stacy(William) Scott of Caneyville, Amy(Kyle) McClellan of Lexington, Beth(Tim) Clark of Shepherdsville, & Allyssa Small of Caneyville, 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Simon(S.D.) Small, 1 sister Virgie Embry & 1 brother Wayne Embry.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday (November 24, 2008) at the Smalls Grove Church with Rev. Kyle McClellan officiating with interment in the Brown-Davis Cemetery.
