Virginia Loraine Miller-Phelps, age 42, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Thursday, (April 13, 2017) at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
She was born on December 17, 1974 in Jefferson County, KY, the daughter of her late father, William Maxwell Miller, Jr. and her mother, Brenda Alford.
She was a retail service clerk, who enjoyed listening to country, pop, hard rock, and heavy metal music. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, shopping, and going to yard sales. She was interested in her heritage and lineage, and was proud to say she was related to Gen. Bedford Forrest and Gen. Robert E. Lee. She was a member of the House of Prayer Church in Upton, KY.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Phelps, daughter, Leeann Phelps, and mother, Brenda Alford, all of Clarkson. Her mother-in-law, Marilyn Phelps of Leitchfield and several cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Maxwell Miller, Jr.; brother, Stephen Alford; grandparents, William Maxwell Miller, Sr., and Loraine Miller; adopted grandparents, John and Betty Mueller; uncle, Stanley Knoplaugh, and father-in-law, W.D. Phelps.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (April 22, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
