Obituary

Walter Lee Cann, age 73, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Monday, (November 15, 2021) at his home.

He was born on May 11, 1948 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Edward Lee and Anna Doris Skaggs Cann.

He was a union construction laborer. Walter enjoyed hunting of all kinds, fishing and gun collecting. He was an avid trap shooter. He won trap shooting state tournaments in Kentucky, Florida, Missouri, Tennessee, Ohio, and Florida. He was a member of Snap Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy Scott Cann; daughter, Christie Lee Cann of Louisville; and son, Charles Edward (Eddie) Cann of Snap; one grandson, Hayden Lucas Cann; sisters, Linda Williams (Billy), Judy Newton (Wayne) and Barbara Cann; brothers, Larry Cann (Sheri) and Billy Cann, Sr.; aunt, Lorene Williams and uncle, Grant Skaggs (Virgie); and several nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Will and Ethel Skaggs and Sid and Lena Cann.

Cremation was chosen, with a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
