Walter Ray Duggins, age 66, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (February 16, 2020) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
He was born on December 11, 1953 in Short Creek, KY, the son of the late Lennie Gilbert and Frances Ree Hayes Duggins.
He was a carpenter by trade, and enjoyed gardening, farming, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He attended Leitchfield Methodist Church.
He is survived by four sons, Adam Lee, Christopher M., Clifton D. and Christopher R. Duggins; two daughters, Jackie Duggins (Jimmy Hoben) and Christie Clark (Mark); six grandchildren, Kynlee, Brantley, Kira, Cierra, Olivia and MaKenna; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Christine Vinson of Paducah, KY, Dorothy Gannaway of Leitchfield and Margaret Logsdon of Falls of Rough, KY; special friend, Lisa Duggins; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Ray Duggins, grandson, Kaden Michael Duggins and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Tuesday, (February 18, 2020) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Wayne Embry and Charlie Love will be officiating. Burial will be in the Yeaman Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 AM on Tuesday until time of services.
