Walter C. Hoover, age 82, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (September 04, 2025) at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on February 21, 1943 in Springlick, KY, the son of the late Raymond and Lowie Byers Hoover.

He graduated Caneyville High School in 1961, and was a member of the Mill Street Church of Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Yvonne Ferguson Hoover of Leitchfield, KY; one daughter, Angie Hoover Boone (Jerome) of Howardstown, KY; a step-son, Marty Davis of Taylorsville, KY; two step-grandchildren, Dylan Davis, also of Taylorsville, and Sidney Davis Foster (Dawson) of Mt. Washington, KY; and one step-great-grandchild, Bentley Davis of Taylorsville, KY. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Judy Huff Hoover of Louisville; and two brothers, Jerry P. Hoover of Galloway, OH & Johney C. Hoover of Westview, KY.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (September 10, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Michael Hardin will be officiating.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
