Obituary
Walter Lee "Walt" Puryear, age 54, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (January 25, 2017) at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
He was born on July 1, 1962 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late William and Betty Jane Puryear.
He was a retired welder from Louisville Ladder. He enjoyed working on vehicles, fishing, and hunting. He especially loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Travis Puryear (Tara) of Sonora, Derek Puryear of Elizabethtown, and Jeremy Puryear (Ciera) of Radcliff; daughter, BriEtta Howell (Matthew) of Radcliff; three grandchildren, Jase, Jenna, and Charlie; brother, William Puryear, Jr. of Louisville; Aunt Eunice, and Great-aunt Mary Catherine.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. (CST) Monday, (January 30, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Xcephus Bren will be officiating. Burial will be in the Lush Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.(CST) on Sunday, and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
