Obituary
Walter C. Lewis, age 76, of Clarkson, KY passed away Wednesday, (October 25, 2006) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
He was born on November 10, 1929, in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Clyde Pennington and Flossie Blanton Lewis. He was a retired highway contractor, a Korean Conflict Veteran and was a member of the Leitchfield First Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Hackley Lewis, his daughter, Caryn Lewis (Scott) Arndell of Leitchfield, one grandson, Tyler Hackley Lewis, two step granddaughters, Madison and Mackenzie Arndell, a brother-in-law, Charles Crawford of Elizabethtown, KY and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Lewis Crawford.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday (October 29, 2006) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Dr. Jamie Ward will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 1:00 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 12 noon until time of service Sunday.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Central Kentucky or to the Rock Creek Cemetery Fund.
