Wanda Jean King McStoots, age 60, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (February 26, 2012) at her residence in Leitchfield, Kentucky after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on August 9, 1951, in Edmonson Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late William Howard and Ersley McStoots King. She was a school teacher in Grayson County. She graduated from Caneyville High School in 1969, and from Western Kentucky University in 1976 with a Bachelor's Degree in science. She was the only one of a large family to attend college. She loved traveling, playing cards, playing Bingo, and her dog, Star.
She is survived by three daughters, Natalie Meredith, Felicia McStoots, and Sherrie Stinnett (Jim) all of Leitchfield; eleven sisters, Loretta Stone (John), Dottie Cottrell (Herman), Natella Williams (Rick), Suzie Skaggs, Rosie Whobrey, Elaine Decker (Everett), and Rena Mae Whobrey all of Leitchfield, Joyce Richards of Summersville, Alice Grimes of Stephensburg, Evelyn Cook (Raul) of Arizona, Gerelean Smith of Missouri; and two grandsons, Jacob and Jameson Stinnett of Leitchfield.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Simon and Elbie D. King, and her companion, Charlie Smith.
Cremation was chosen. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
