Obituary
Wayne V. Embry, age 72, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Sunday (September 7, 2008) in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on April 11, 1936, in Grayson County, KY, the son of Ernest and Truly Duke Embry.
He was retired from the Labor Union. He attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Tim Embry (Julie) of Caneyville, his daughter, Teresa Stewart, of Leitchfield, his grandchildren, Amber Durbin, Ashley Johnson, Amanda Stewart, and Jenna and Emily Embry, his great grandchildren, Kennedi and Jackson Durbin and Elijah Wayne Nelson, his brother, Ralph Embry of Louisville, KY, his sisters, Ruth Wilson, Violet Small and Ruby Shain all of Louisville. He was preceded in death by one sister, Virgie Embry.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M Tuesday (September 9, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Rev. Lealin Geary will be officiating. Burial is in the Neafus Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
