Obituary
Wayne C. Harvey, age 66, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (May 28, 2010) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was a retired driver's license examiner and a member of the Caneyville Baptist Church. He was born on December 14, 1943, in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Delbert Wayne Harvey and Aline Kessinger Byers.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Birch Harvey, an aunt, Dorothy Whitely of Louisville, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Lonnie Swift of Caneyville, KY, Diane and Danny Geary of Leitchfield, Russell and Hazel Birch Jr of Sherman IL, Tom and Elma Birch of Mason City, IL and Sandra Birch of Ashland IL. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Claude Byers.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday (May 31, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Rev. Jerry Dunnaway Jr and Rev. Barbara Lohrback will be officiating. Cremation is to follow with cremains interred in Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
