Wendel Lee Downs, age 66, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (April 28, 2019) at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on June 27, 1952 in Grayson County, Kentucky, the son of the late Carl and Marcella Helson Downs.

He was a laborer for a construction company who enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

He is survived by one son, Zach McGrath of Rock Castle, MN; two daughters, Jana Downs of Owensboro, KY, and Amanda Vincent of Edmonson County, KY, KY; five grandchildren; one sister, Janice Harrel (Arthur) of Anneta, KY; two nieces, Robin Carver (Doyle) of Broadford, KY, Christie Lentini (Jeff) of Anneta, and two nephews, John Harrel of Elizabethtown, and Kyle Hayse (Kelly) of Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (May 2, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Richard Peterson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Downs Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
