Wendell Woosley, age 80 , of Louisville, KY, passed away Tuesday, (May 24, 2022) at his residence.

He was born on September 9, 1941 in Caneyville, KY, the son of the late Albert Woosley and Augusta Frame Woosley Whitehead.

He was retired from Phillip Morris Tobacco Company, where he worked for 32 years. After he retired he spent most of his time farming. He was a member of Smallsgrove Baptist Church and Southeast Christian Church. He was also a member of the Shively masonic Lodge 951 F and A.M in Louisville, KY.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia C. Woosley; sons, David Woosley (Libby) and Kevin C. Woosley (Donna); grandchildren,  Emily (Michael), Abby (Joey), Kelsey (Aaron), Katie (Brian), and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Bella, Dawson, and Ava; brothers, Charles Whitehead (Linda), Roger Whitehead (Judy); sister, Pat Bratcher. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip, Jody, and Bobby; and sister, June.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. CST Tuesday, (May 31, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Randall Deweese will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. CST to 7:00 p.m. CST on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. CST Tuesday until time of services.
