Wilbur D. Etter, age 79, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (November 20, 2018) at his home.

He was born on July 24, 1939 in Yeaman, KY, the son of the late Carmey and Ora Allice Ferry Etter.

He was a banker for 47 years retiring from Leitchfield Deposit Bank. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and was an avid collector of many things, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the Caneyville Christian Church, an officer in the Rotary Club International, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, and a member of Ducks Unlimited.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joyce Wilkins Etter, two sons, Kevin Etter (Sarah) of Elizabethtown, KY, and Keith Etter (Kristina) of Austin, TX; three grandchildren, Emily, Bryce, and Madeline Etter; one sister in law, Nadine Etter; several nieces and nephews and close friends also survive.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and William Etter, and three sisters, Bonnie Ferguson, Delora Peerce, and Mary Cronin.

A Memorial Service will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, (December 29, 2018) in the Gymnasium of the Old Caneyville High School. Bro. David Brown will officiate.

Cremation was chosen.
