Obituary
Wilbur Fentress, age 95, of Leitchfield, KY passed away Wednesday, (December 20, 2006) at his residence.
He was born on April 29, 1911, in Rough River, KY, the son of Nick C. and Molly Geary Fentress. He was a retired farmer and was a member and deacon of the New Harvest Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and JoAnn Fentress of Leitchfield, one daughter and son-in-law, Miriam and Stoy Smith of Hardinsburg, KY, special caregivers, Brenda and Garry Phelps of Leitchfield, eight grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren and four nieces. He was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Louise Fentress and Elma Blain Fentress.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (December 23, 2006) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Larry Lacefield will be officiating. Burial will be in the Eskridge (Bend) Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Gideon's International or to the Free Union Independent General Baptist Church.
