Willadean McStoots Sandlin, age 84 , of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (November 25, 2022) at Springview Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.

She was born on January 21, 1938 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Clint and Ulva Whitaker McStoots.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning and Sunday dinners with her family, whom she loved greatly. She attended Blowtown Holiness Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Cora Nugent (Johnny), Elizabeth Clements and Hazel Higgs (Randy); five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Irene Ray, Ora Clements, Carolyn Croghan, Doris Houchin (Mike) and Dorothy Stevenson (Ted); a brother, Clifford McStoots; and a sister-in-law Saundra "Tookie" McStoots. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Sandlin; a son, Boyd Allen Jewell, Jr.; a daughter, Sharon K. Jewell; one grandchild, Julie Higgs; one great-grandchild, Emily Grace Nugent; four brothers, Jimmy, Clarence, Ronnie, and Mack McStoots; a son-in-law, David Clements and sisters-in-law, Doris McStoots and Mary Lou Mudd McStoots.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, (November 30, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jerry Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
