Willard Fentress, age 77, of Caneyville, KY, went to be with the Lord at 6:45 A.M. on Wednesday (June 23, 2010) at Christopher East Health & Rehab.

He was born on September 25, 1932, in Walnut Grove, in Grayson Co., the son of Noble & Stella Cooper Fentress. He served his country in the Korean War, and was employed by GE in Louisville for 38 years. He was a member of the Caneyville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Pharris Fentress of Caneyville, two children, Gary Arthur, and Debra Denise Taylor, a daughter-in-law Carla Fentress, all of Louisville, five grandchildren, include Brett Matthew Taylor, Megan Elizabeth Taylor, Brandon Michael Fentress, Kristin Nichole Fentress and Adam Darrell Taylor, three great grandchildren, Andrew Kenneth Bryant Taylor, Serenity Rose Fentress and Taylor Denise Harrell. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Raymon and one sister Lorena.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday (June 26, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Rev. Paul Childers officiating. Interment will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. Friday and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
