Willard Stevenson, age 85, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (June 15, 2014) at University Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on October 21, 1928 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Logan and Vertie Maloney Stevenson.

He was a farmer who enjoyed playing the mandolin, listening to old time bluegrass music, and eating homemade ice cream. He was a member of the Baptist faith and attended the New Freedom Church for several years.

He is survived by his wife Marguerite Blanton Stevenson, two sons, Jimmy and Joey Stevenson both of Leitchfield, one brother, Curtis Stevenson of Bowling Green, KY, and one sister, Lucille Taylor of Leitchfield.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Iva Jewel, Myrtle Hatfield and Virginia Kerr.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, (June 18, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Buddy Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the Scott Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
