William R. "Bob" Henning, age 69, of Rough River, KY, passed away Wednesday, (May 24, 2017) at his home.

He was born on January 31, 1948 in Madisonville, KY, the son of the late Bernard and Neomi Furling Henning.

He was a Vietnam Era Veteran of the US Air Force and retired from Weyerhauser Paper Mill where he worked as an electrician for 28 years. He was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church at Axtel, the Hardinsburg VFW, and was a former volunteer firefighter at both the McQuady Fire Department and the Weyerhauser Paper Mill.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Troutman Henning of Rough River; three sons, Jeremy Henning (Heather), Matt Henning (Candy) and David Henning, all of Rough River; two daughters, Gwen Waddell (Tony) of Leitchfield, KY and Amy Roney (Scott) of Rough River; one step-son, Don Troutman (Tina) of Owensboro, KY; 10 grandchildren, Alexis, Ethan & Jacob Henning, Brianna & Bailey Beville, Jonathon Waddell, Justin & Ayden Henning, and Jared & Emma Roney; four step-grandchildren, Katilyn & Jeffery Bernardi, Marcus Troutman and Summer Vowels; and a sister, Alice Wyatt of Louisville, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike and Tony Henning, and a son-in-law, James Beville.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (May 29, 2017) at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Axtel. Father Tony Stevenson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

A Rosary Service will be held Sunday, (May 28, 2017) at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Axtel.

Visitation will be at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Axtel from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
