Obituary
Dr. William James "Bill" Payne, age 39, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (July 5, 2012) in Leitchfield, Kentucky.
He was born on March 3, 1973, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Dr. William H. Payne and the late Sandy Bonham Payne.
Bill was a graduate of Auburn University's Veterinary Medicine Program, and practiced as a veterinarian in Leitchfield since 2001. Bill had a deep love for animals, and much compassion for their owners.
He is survived by his father, Dr. William H. Payne of Leitchfield; and one sister Kris Payne (Katherine) of Louisville. Bill is also survived by a faithful friend, his dog, Nestle.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sandra Bonham Payne.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, (July 9, 2012) at the Basham Cemetery in Leitchfield. Rev. Ronald Payne will be officiating.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of the graveside services.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Quest House 2349 Russellville Rd. Bowling Green, KY 42101, or to The Healing Place 1020 W. Market St. Louisville, KY 40202.
