William E. Kimberling, age 79, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Thursday, (August 30, 2007) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on May 18, 1928, in Drydon, VA, the son of Pete and Cora Davis Kimberling. He was a Korean War Veteran and a retired machinist for Reynolds Metal and was a member of the Plumb Masonic Lodge # 862, F & AM.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Kenny Dudgeon of Falls of Rough, KY, two grandsons, Tyler and Tayler Dudgeon, two brothers, Delvert and Dennis Kimberling both of Stanford, KY, two sisters, Vertnell Goode of Junction City, KY and Sue Watkins of Tennessee, two sisters-in-law, Patty Kimberling of Parksville, KY and Lorene Kimberling of Michigan. Also surviving is a special friend, Ruby Woods of Ft. Meyers, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Preston Kimberling, one sister, Lula Mae Sparkman and two brothers, Lewis and Paul Kimberling.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. EDT Wednesday (September 5, 2007) at the Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville, KY. Bro. Mike Cannon will be officiating. Burial will be in the Bellevue Cemetery in Danville.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. CDT Monday with Masonic services at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will begin after 12:00 noon EDT Tuesday at the Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.
