Obituary
William L. Matthews 74, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Monday, (January 31, 2011) at his residence.
He was born on April 13, 1936, in Hart Co., KY, the son of William Clyde and Vera Mae (Witherspoon) Matthews. He was a tool and die maker.
He is survived by his three sons, Russell Leon ( Ann) of Twin Lakes WI, Gary Lee (Jo Ann) of Falls of Rough, and Michael Glenn ( Latica) Matthews of Caneyville, one daughter, Shirley Louise (Michael) Miller of Twin Lakes, WI, two sisters, Joyce Charlene Casey of Clarksville, IN, and Donna Carol Grant of Leitchfield, seventeen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Matthews and two sisters, Lela Mae Carroll and Francis Aileen Baldwin.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. (February 4, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Burial will be in the Municipal Cemetery in Munfordville,KY. Bro. Art Armstrong will be officiating.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of service
