William Robert Simms, age 74, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (July 29, 2018) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on September 5, 1943 in Marion County, KY, the son of the late Ado and Mary Mattingly Simms.

He was a diesel truck mechanic and repair man who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an Army Veteran and a member of the McGrew Memorial Baptist church.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Simms of Leitchfield; children, Sherry Simms (Paul) of English, IN, Lisa Whitte (Shawn) of Irvington, KY, William Simms (Angie) of Mt. Washington, KY and Patty Hanifen (Kim) of Louisville; ten grandchildren; six geat-grandchildren; and seven siblings, J.A. (Edna), Gerald (Polly), Joyce (John), Shirley, Bonnie (David), Naomi and Virginia.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Simms.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, (August 3, 2018) at the McGrew Memorial Baptist Church in Anneta.

Receiving of friends will be held at the McGrew Memorial Baptist Church from 6:00 p.m. until time of services.
