Obituary
William P. Stanton, age 77, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Tuesday, (September 24, 2013) at the Riverview Village in Clarksville, IN.
He was born on March 29, 1936 in Millerstown, KY, the son of the late Emmett and Vernie Gibson Stanton.
He was a farmer and teacher. He was a member of the Broadford Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Wilson Stanton, whom he married on August 21st 1965, two daughters, Janice Stanton of Elizabethtown KY and Dian Huffman (Jurl) of Peonia KY, a grandson, Ty Huffman, one brother, Lavane Stanton of Clarkson.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters, McArthur, Irene and Loren Stanton.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (September 27, 2013) at the Broadford Missionary Baptist Church. Bro. Mikey Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Stanton Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
