William F. Woodcox, age 88, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Wednesday (December 5, 2007) at Hospice of Louisville.
He was retired from the State Highway Department, a member of the Richland Baptist Church, and a veteran of the U.S.Army. He was born October 11, 1919 the son of John T. and Annie Allison Woodcox.
He is survived by three daughters Sondra (Gilbert) Lambert of Louisville, Sophia (Paul) Crowe of Louisville, and Judy( Richard Lacefield) Woodcox of Millwood, Ky. one brother John "Junior" Woodcox of Lake Village, In., one sister Carolyn Greenwell of Louisville, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and one step great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Renfrow Woodcox.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 8, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville, with Bro. David Brown officiating, with burial in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville 2-8 Friday and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday until time of service.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville.
